How many princes rose up with Korah against Moses?
What happened to Korah
Who was Eleazar
LESSON: God protects his spiritual leaders. When Korah rose up against Moses, God destroyed him. For an orderly society, we should respect those who lead.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to respect those who lead me, and help me to lead those who follow me. Amen!
God's Ways are Higher
"And he changeth the times and the seasons;
He removeth kings, and setteth up kings;
He giveth wisdom unto the wise,
And knowledge to them that know understanding.
He revealeth the deep and secret things;
He knoweth what is in the darkness,
And the light dwelleth with him."
We may not agree with our governmental leaders, and our ideologies may be polar opposites, but God, in His infinite wisdom, allows things to take place. We may not understand why He does things the way He does ("For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9). Even when we don't understand or we scratch our heads in wonderment, we can still pray for wisdom and guidance for our political leaders. Pray that God would give them "eyes to see" and "ears to hear." We seek to follow Christ and God's ways; pray that our leaders would do the same.
