LESSON: God had great things in store for the Children of Israel. However, because of their lack of faith and trust, they lost many of their blessings. If God be for us...who can be against us.

PRAYER: Lord, grant me faith that I may receive that which You have in store for me. Amen!

If God Be For Us

It is amazing to see the great lengths that the Lord will take to guard His children. There is a story of a little boy who was eagerly looking forward to the birthday party of his best friend that lived only a few blocks down the street. When the day finally arrived, a snowstorm made the sidewalks and roads impassable. The father was reluctant to let his son go out in such dangerous conditions. The young lad cried saying, "But Dad, all the other kids will be there." Dad thought for a moment, but with some hesitation agreed to let the boy go to the party. Soon the little guy was bundled up and marching through the deep snow as it continued to fall around him. It took him more than half an hour to trudge the short distance to his friends's house. As he range th doorbell, he turned to look out into the storm His eye caught  the shadow of a retreating figure. It was his father! Dad had followed his son's every step through the snow. In Psalm 139:30, we read, "Thou compasseth my path and my lying down, and rt acquainted with all my ways." Praise God that we have a Savior who supplies our needs, honors our trust in Him, and embraces us through every battle of life.
