Which brother had to stay in Egypt the first time Jacob sent his sons for corn?
What did the brothers find in their sacks besides corn?
What three things were in Benjamin's sack on the trip back?
LESSON: The story of Joseph and his brothers is a beautiful example of how God will take the bad that comes our way and work it together for good. All things work together for good. Remember this when things go wrong.
PRAYER: Father, in the good and in the bad, help me to trust you in all things. Amen!
A Simple Gift
Salvation is a gift from God. He provided the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb that was slaughtered for the salvation of man, to His creation, mankind. We don't deserve it. Those who have accepted Christ are sinners saved by grace. One only has to say, "Yes, Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and believe." (...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me." John 14:6, John 3:16, Romans 10:9) Through Christ's death, God offers you forgiveness for your sins, and through His resurrection, the promise of everlasting life. Confess that you are a sinner (For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23) and ask to be forgiven. Say a simple prayer, something like, "Dear Jesus, come into my heart. I am a sinner. Forgive me and make me clean. I love you, Lord, make me your own." That's it! It's that simple and a gift from the Father through His Son! Find a Bible-believing church like Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church and begin to learn God's Word and fellowship with God's people!
