WELCOME TO VISITORS

WELCOME VISITORS!

Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church is a growing, traditional, yet vibrant, Southern Baptist Church. If you are in need of a church home, we invite you to come to a service and experience our joyful choir and welcoming congregation.

We believe that every person who comes into the circle of this special fellowship was sent by God Himself.  It's not by accident that you have landed here.  So, above all else we want to express Christ's love to you with genuine, heartfelt warmth.  We're eager to know you, and we're excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church.

It won't take you long to discover that this is truly a family, rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing together, we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, we learn, and we reach out to our world with life-transforming truth.  We reach out to you as well.  Our doors are open.  Our hearts are open, too.  If you've been thinking, praying, searching and hoping for a place to belong, we say -

CHURCH IS...

Where God Meets His Family.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Where we worship and praise God.

Psalm 100:4  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:  be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Where we find comfort and strength in time of need.

Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Where we learn how to live.

Psalm 119:104  Through thy precepts I get understanding...

Where we meet those who care about us.

1 Corinthians 12:26  And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.

Where God's word is opened.

2 Timothy 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness...

Where we get help in guiding our children.

Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go:  and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Where we can give for the support of God's work throughout the world.

Proverbs 3:9  Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase...

Where we support the pastor and church leaders.

1 Thessalonians 5:12, 13  And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake.  And be at peace among yourselves.

Where there is time for meditation and prayer and song.

Psalm 19:14  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer....

Where God gives His blessings.

Psalm 84:4  Blessed are they that dwell in thy house.
